#feedthekids #payitforward School #4, put it on the board! We just paid off Brookview’s lunch account balance of $1,650.00. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d get Lakeside’s balance paid in-full, let alone add Westfield, Grassy Creek and now Brookview. #PayItForward #FeedTheKids #RAKE alllllllllll over delinquent lunch account’s FACE! The principal was dancing and the Cafeteria supervisor hugged me with all of the strength of The Hulk. A challenge from a friend, has turned into four school’s paid off.

Huge #FeedTheKids #PayItForward and total #RAKE to Sara Blackburn, a new friend of mine and strong supporter of the #FeedTheKids movement. She started her own little fundraising after seeing what we did (thanks to Facebook) — and then joined forces with us to contribute a large chunk towards the Brookview balance.

Non-profit status update:

I got an email from my accountant today that the Feed The Kids non-profit paperwork is coming along. A lot more goes into it than I realized, but we are in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status for Feed The Kids, Inc.!

Next school update:

Pleasant Run Elementary is school #5. It is the poorest non-IPS school in Indianapolis. We’re in talks with the principal right now to get the total outstanding balance. If you want to donate, you can do so here:

Big props to everyone who has donated so far — if you could see the faces of all of the kids you’ve helped like I have …you’d realize just how happy you’re making all of those kids. For some of them, it’s the only hot meal they get a day.
